Security Guaranteed
October 1, 2009
Security checks on my frequent travels - on planes, trains, and underground metros around the world - are a constant reminder of the importance of good security. I am grateful for the security efforts. But more than occasionally, I wonder if some of the security measures are effective.
I can never fully trust the security measures that man provides because there will always be flaws and human errors in the system. Where can I find rest and security in an unflawed system?
The Psalmist David knew where he could find security. In speaking of the man who trusts in the Lord, David says,
| |
He will have no fear of bad news
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord
His heart is secure, he will have no fear
(Psalm 112:7-8 NIV) |
|
Will you join me in resting fully in God, the only provider of full security?
